I was recently at the Safeway on Continental and was checking out and the prices shown on the screen were incorrect. I tried to get the check out clerk's attention but she kept ignoring me. I walked over to her and lightly tapped her and she turned on me and in a nasty tone told me not to touch her. I told her as nicely as I could that I was trying to get her attention because she didn't hear me. Instead of assisting me, she turned her back on me and walked away. I was so angry that I left the food there and walked out of the store. Some of Safeways employees need to work on their customer skills.
I can't stand the digital discounts.I have scanned the bar codes as directed.Many times the discount is not deducted and I let it go.If the discount is worth my while I go to the service desk and they make it right.

Purchased 2 ready to eat meals. Spaghetti and meatballs and ravioli. Heating instructions called for remove the lid and microwave in the container for 3-4 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165.
Duh! You can’t put metal in a microwave. WTH!!!
Unfriendliest staff of any Safeway I've been to. That is generally becoming true with the younger staff in grocery stores but it was true for the young staff and the older staff in this Safeway. I ultimately found what I was looking for but the reactions from the staff I asked for help was very poor.
Do I get a discount for bagging my own groceries? Last time I checked I don’t work here. Never any cashiers, won’t be back.
This is a small Safeway. Like a neighborhood grocery store.
This particular location on Continental Rd. Is taking away my favorite name brands and replacing with their own brand, thereby, not crazy about store anymore. Bring just Two miles from my home, it IS convenient, and staff is friendly.
UPDATE: Cashiers needed! This is the back half of the lines for self check out! Come on. I'm not able 2 use self checkout.. most customers are elderly in this store. I watched one lady spend 15 minutes AT the self checkout lane, trying 2 pay 4 only 2 items!
I want to give kudos to Veronica in the bakery. Back in February I was celebrating a little girl birthday and a 40th, but no one wanted a lot of cake. Not only did Veronica offer some fabulous ideas, she executed those ideas in a way that pleased my whole family. She was a joy to work with and a talented decorator as well. Please be sure to pass this along!
This Safeway is very close to the interstate. If you're traveling south of Tucson, it would be a great stop for quick groceries on your way.
The store is clean and easy to shop, it is not the largest Safeway you've ever been in, although I found the shelves to be well stocked and organized. If you're looking for rare items, you may not be able to find them here.
